# sand3d > 3D modeling in Python, built for LLMs. A library for writing 3D objects as short programs over Blender's bpy: profiles, solids, edits, frames, joints and assemblies. Programs use `import sand3d as s3d`; lengths are in millimetres; every verb returns a named object; export to GLB, URDF, USDA, OBJ or STL. ## Docs - [Website](https://sand3d.sandflow.ai/): the quickstart (every verb, with code that runs and its render), an articulated gallery, the API. - [API reference](api.md): the rules of the vocabulary, every signature with one line, worked examples; about 3 600 tokens, written to be put in a prompt whole. - [Writing an assembly](guidelines.md): eight rules for objects of several parts: the plan first, then the details, then the parts. ## Examples - [A washing machine](https://github.com/Sandflow-ai/sand3d/blob/main/programs/washing_machine.py): an articulated object, four joints, materials. - [A tufted chair](https://github.com/Sandflow-ai/sand3d/blob/main/programs/tufted_chair.py): lofts, tufts, rows of nails as details on anchors. - [The worked examples](https://github.com/Sandflow-ai/sand3d/blob/main/docs/examples/): a bracket, a lamp, a rack, a chair, a gate. ## Optional - [Quickstart](quickstart.html): every verb with code that runs and its render.
